Another way to God

He gazed out the windshield. "You now, my grandmother lost her faith when she lost her husband," he said, "and she never got either one back. When I told her I was going to the seminary, she slapped my face. If you called her a Christian, she'd spit on the ground. Still, in her dignity, conviction, and compassion, in her humanity, she was one of the most spiritual people I've known. And this girl today...everything about her was like my grandmother. I mention this John, because your faith is lapsed for foolish reasons. You'll rediscover it one day. But with my grandmother, and I sense with this girl, too...it's as if they found something else. Another way to God.
